- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 pound ground pork
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon allspice
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix ground beef, ground pork, bread crumbs, onion, milk, egg, salt, pepper, allspice, and nutmeg.
- Shape the mixture into small meatballs.
- Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Cook meatballs until browned on all sides.
- Remove meatballs and set aside.
- Add flour to the skillet and stir until golden.
- Gradually add beef broth, stirring constantly.
- Stir in heavy cream and return meatballs to the skillet.
- Simmer for 10 minutes until meatballs are cooked through.
Notes
- Serve with lingonberry sauce and mashed potatoes.
- You can freeze leftover meatballs.
- Adjust seasoning to taste.
