- 1 head of cabbage
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Remove the core from the cabbage and boil the whole head for 5-7 minutes to soften the leaves.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté onion and garlic until soft.
- In a bowl, mix ground beef, cooked rice, sautéed onion and garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Carefully remove cabbage leaves and fill each leaf with a spoonful of the beef mixture.
- Roll the leaves tightly and tuck in the ends.
- Place rolls in a baking dish and cover with tomato sauce.
- Bake for 45 minutes.
Notes
- For added flavor, you can add herbs like dill or parsley.
- Serve with sour cream or additional tomato sauce.
