Ingredients

- 1 large head of cabbage
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Remove the core from the cabbage and place the head in the boiling water for 2-3 minutes until leaves are pliable.
- Carefully remove the leaves and set aside to cool.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté onion and garlic until soft.
- In a bowl, combine ground beef, cooked rice, sautéed onion and garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Take a cabbage leaf, place a spoonful of the filling at the base, fold sides over, and roll up tightly.
- Place the rolls seam side down in a baking dish.
- Pour tomato sauce and diced tomatoes over the rolls.
- Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
Notes
- Use leftover rice for quicker preparation.
- Adjust seasonings according to your taste.
- These rolls can be frozen for later use.
