Ingredients

  • 1 large head of cabbage, chopped
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
  • 1 can tomato sauce (15 oz)
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add onion and garlic, cook until soft.
  3. In a large bowl, combine beef mixture, rice, tomatoes, tomato sauce, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  4. Layer half of the chopped cabbage in the crockpot.
  5. Add half of the meat mixture on top of the cabbage.
  6. Repeat layers with remaining cabbage and meat mixture.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
  8. Serve warm.

Notes

  • You can substitute ground turkey for a lighter option.
  • Add cheese on top for extra flavor.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
