- 1 large head of cabbage, chopped
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
- 1 can tomato sauce (15 oz)
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add onion and garlic, cook until soft.
- In a large bowl, combine beef mixture, rice, tomatoes, tomato sauce, salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Layer half of the chopped cabbage in the crockpot.
- Add half of the meat mixture on top of the cabbage.
- Repeat layers with remaining cabbage and meat mixture.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- You can substitute ground turkey for a lighter option.
- Add cheese on top for extra flavor.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
